I'm Kathy, a creative entrepreneur and owner of Wylde Magnolia.
I live in beautiful Calgary, Alberta. I'm a "mompreneur" raising my two boys and running my Etsy shop. In-between all the mom stuff I spend my time designing and weaving.
Since opening my shop in 2011 I have really enjoyed every moment of this creative journey. Over the past few years I have learned that it takes time to grow all of my ideas. Learning and designing as I go has been challenging but so worth all the work.
A typical day starts with a cup of coffee, then I dive into whatever needs to be taken care of. Some days you can find me weaving or dyeing fabrics and yarn with natural dyes. (I try to source vintage fabrics and yarns where possible for this process). For my weavings I source natural fibres and try to support local weavers and indie yarn dyers.
Some days I am searching for vintage items, photographing items and listed them in the shop. Wylde Magnolia is a one person enterprise and I love every aspect of it. To enter the shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/WyldeMagnolia
